Who is Srishti Goswami?

Srishti Goswami is an Indian girl who belongs to Uttarakhand. She is known for her love and care for girls’ rights. She became the one Day Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on 24th January. She lives in Daulatpur village in the Haridwar district. Srishti was born into a very simple family. She has been doing well in the field of studies since childhood. Srishti is pursuing BSc Agriculture seventh semester at BSM PG College Roorkee.

What was the idea Behind of One Day CM?

Bal Bidhan Sabha held once every 3 years and here one child will be chosen as the chief minister of this sabha. Uttarakhand’s Bal Vidhan Sabha (Children’s Assembly) is one such child-led advocacy forum that works to improve the lives and give a voice to over 0.4 crore children from the state.

The advocacy forum is run in close collaboration with the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCR) and receives patronage from the speaker of the state Assembly. IT Runs across 13 districts, 3,000 children have applied for membership to the Children’s Assembly since 2014.

Out of these 3000 children, Sruti was selected for the one-day Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. She selected due to her passion for social work.

Early Life and Education

Like Morning shows the day, From childhood, Srishti was very kind and helping nature. Her parents were her inspiration. In every situation her parents support her.

In her early school life, she was keen on social work. She has participated in many social activities. She was actively working on girls’ rights.

For her amazing work, she was selected as the lawmaker of the Child Assembly of Uttarakhand in 2018.

To take the girls rights to a next level she participated in Girl’s International Leadership. Which was held in Thailand in 2018.

Since then she is actively working with Aarambha Campaign to Promote Education among financially poor children.

From her childhood, she was very good at her studies. To help farmers she decided to study Agriculture. Now she is pursuing BSc Agriculture seventh semester at BSM PG College Roorkee

From her childhood, she was very concerned about her health. So she is actively participating in yoga. In school, she is actively participating in various extracurricular & physical activities.

Family, Caste and religion

Srishti Goswami belongs to a middle-Class Family. Her father Praveen Puri Runs a Small Kirana Show in Daulatpur. Her Mother Sudha Goswami Is a housewife and works as an Anganwadi Worker. Srishti has an elder sister and a brother. She grew up in a Hindu family.

In an Interview, Her parents conveyed “Today we feel very proud, every daughter can achieve a milestone, we just need to support them. We want to thank the government a lot for considering our daughter worthy of this.”

“Never stop supporting your daughters. In today’s time, daughters can achieve everything. This should be an example for everyone. If she can achieve this milestone, every other daughter is capable of doing so. We are thankful to Trivendra Singh Rawat for giving Srishti this opportunity,” said Praveen Puri, Srishti Goswami’s father.
