Arunita Kanjilal(born on 18^th January 2003) is a famous and very talented Indian Classical and Semi-Classical singer. She is known for her talent participated in reality shows, Zee Bangla and Sony Tv. She belongs to Kolkata, West Bengal and she dreams of becoming a playback singer.

Early Life

Arunita was born on 18, January 2013 in Bangaon, North 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India. She was born to a middle-class family. She took her schooling from St. Xavier’s School, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Arunita did her 10+2 from Kumudini Girls’ High School, Bangaon, Kolkata, and presently she is in her graduation. Her mother is a housewife and her father is a teacher. She was very interested in music so started learning music at the age of four. She was inspired by her mother and took her early music education from her mother and maternal uncle. Her mother was also a good singer. Then Nandita Chaudhary taught her to sing. later got training from Ravindra Ganguly of Pune.

In the year 2013, Arunita appeared first time on Zee Bangla TV shows Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs and won the contest. After that, recently she participates in the Sony Entertainment Tv show ‘Indian Idol’ Season 12. Also, she loves to play musical instruments like Harmonium & Tanpura.

Career

Arunita Kanjilal career started when she participated very first in 2013 with the Bengali singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Little Champs which was premiered on Zee TV Bangla. Arunita could attract judges and the audience with her melodies voice. People started knowing her and her singing style and slowly she became the winner of that show. After that, she went for Indian Idol season 12 auditioned, all judges and audiences were impressed by Arunita’s singing. Arunita auditioned for Indian Idol in the year 2020.

In each episode, Arunita gave her best of the best performance and did better and better. She now made her place in the top 5 contestants of Indian Idol with her unique and melancholy voice.
